Terrence Wheatley
Saturday, April 26th, 2008Hi. We play football here in Colorado. Maybe you’ve heard of the Denver Broncos? Well, we also have some college teams, 3 Division I-A (aka FBS) teams: Air Force, Colorado and Colorado State. We are in the non-existant timezone called “Mountain Time Zone”, for which TV seems to think we don’t need to know what times our TV shoes are on (”Watch CSI at 10, 9 Central, 10 Pacific”). Oh, right, the Patriot Act made it so there are only 3 time zones in the USA.
Still here? Yah, we have some good football players that come through here as well. Maybe you’ve heard of the John Elway? But even at the college level, we’ve had Rashaan Salaam who won a little award called the Heisman? Not to mention that 1990 National Championship. Right. Fifth Down. Yah. But the AP still voted us #1 at the end of the season. True, the UPI didn’t, but the AP did, yes?
I find it amazing to then read comments like this where they then act like we don’t play in the Big 12. And the highlight video doesn’t show him getting 3 INTs in one game. And play the toughest schedule year-in-and-year out. I guess that’s why he’s a blogger and not an NFL coach/scout/player/owner/team member/intern/janitor/towel guy.
2nd round pick. Rock on Wheatley. Make us proud. Perhaps you should do some educational work. “Hi, I’m Terrence Wheatley of the Dallas Cowboys. I played football at the University of Colorado. <pause> No, serious, Colorado has football, and damn good football too. Check it out sometime. The more you know.”
