About

by MECU

I am the founder/owner/operator of BCS Fan Poll. I am a Colorado alumni, fan and resident (of the state that is). While the blog may tend to Colorado and my other favorite teams (Wyoming, Air Force, Colorado State (except for one week of the year)), the real focus is college football in general.

The name of the website, Winning Cures All, comes from my experience of trying to justify contracts looking forward and in hindsight. Clint Hurdle (I know, not college football related) of the Colorado Rockies was given a contract extension at the start of the 2007 season, for which I and many other didn’t think he deserved. Now, looking back, after the Rockies won the NL Pennant for the first time in their history, it looks justified. Having won, they validated his contract.

Fans forgive and forget the small things if you win.

An exception to this rule was Nebraska firing their head coach after a 9-3 season. They got what they deserved though: In 2004, Nebraska finished 5-6, their first losing season since 1961. In 2007 they gave up 76 points to Kansas, the most in theĀ  117 years of Cornhusker history, and 5 straight losses, the first time since 1958. All for not being happy with a 9-3 season. Ouch. And there may be more to come.
